Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicles Operations (SVO) is expanding what they offer by adding a more serious off-road performer.
With the launch of the Land Rover Discovery SVX concept that debuted on Tuesday at the 2017 Frankfurt auto show.
The raised height improves departure and breakover angles, while the taller tires reduce contact pressure and improve performance on soft surfaces. There is an active center and electronic rear locking differential. These are working in concert with a specially tuned version of Land Rover’s Terrain Response 2. In a bot of a throwback there is a gear lever instead of the normal rotary dial for range selection.
They have also deployed an hydraulic anti-roll system. It increases wheel articulation providing improved body control, suspension articulation and better road response.
