It’s a new decade and a new year, did you make any big New Years resolutions?
Most of the time we make self-improvement resolutions, go to the gym, diet, spend more time with people. Most of these resolutions are made with the best intentions. They also are not any fun.
Fun resolutions we can all do.
One of my goals this year is to participate in a trail cleanup. Organizing one would be even better. Not everyone can do that, so let’s stick with participate and help clean up a local site.
If you watch the social media feeds for your local off-road parks or clubs there will be plenty of opportunities to join in.
I want to explore more this year. Driving the back roads of your home state or neighboring state is a great way to find excellent areas to camp, hike, and drive off-road. I know I need a lot more country roads in my driving diet.
The last resolution I have for 2020 is to make sure I am more helpful. Often we are tired, annoyed, and don’t make enough time for the new off-road people. Instead of haranguing them about what they don’t know, take the time to educate them.
I’m not suggesting you answer “what oil should I use” every time with a long diatribe of information instead of a link to the info. Merely that each of us could do it nicer.
What are some of your off-road resolutions?
How many decided on a 1-ton swap? Hemi? Maybe a bigger lift?
I do have one last resolution. We will do 4 giveaways this year. Stay tuned for the first one in the next week. Make sure you subscribe to get notified! I can tell you that it will be one of the criteria to win so you might as well do it now.
