Campfire Recipes – One Pot Cooking Beans and Spam

Is there anything better than comfort foods? After the success of our simple beans and weiners recipe, it just made sense to share a one pot beans and spam recipe. Simple, easy, and tasty.

Ingredients:
  • 1 large tin of baked beans
  • 1 tin of Spam
  • 1 tin sliced mushrooms
  • 1 pinch of salt
Directions:

Empty tin of baked beans into a saucepan. Slice or dice tin of Spam and place in sauce pan. Add mushroom with the other ingredients. Add a pinch of salt. Mix together and place on fire. Stir for 10 minutes.

Makes about 2 servings. Not everyone should add salt to this recipe. The Spam has a natural saltiness already and can be a bit much for folks not used to it.

If you happen to have hot sauce or other spices this dish lends itself to experimentation. Try it out and see what flavors you can come up with.
