Offroad Consulting – 4LO Hill Climb

4WAAM-4LO-Hill Climb

New year, new training video with our friends at Offroad Consulting and Driving. Previously we worked on tackling a hill with momentum. You can check out that article here “First Time Hill Climb”.

The technique employed for crawling a hill climb is very simple and straightforward:

For us here at 4WAAM we are big proponents of always being in 4LO when we off road. It puts less stress on the vehicles drivetrain, in particular the clutch and transmission. Is it ideal for every scenario? No, if you are pre running across the desert it is definitely not ideal, for just about everything else the torque multiplication is worth pulling that lever all the way to the rear.

Tell us about your hill climbing experience in the comments! Don’t forget to check out our Featured Partners page and as always stay tuned for more!
